Chief Information Officer
Robert Chester, MBA, joined Genoa in February 2009 as our CIO. Chester identifies pieces in business where
technology can be integrated to improve efficiency. He also makes sure Genoa's technology platform supports
the company's long-standing business plan.
Prior to working at Genoa, Chester was CIO for Alaska Distributors in Seattle, Wash. One of his major
roles at this company was to create an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in a large geographic
distribution area. Part of the ERP perfected mobile workforce solutions in both rural and city areas. His
leadership in this area was nationally recognized by Sprint. At Alaska Distributors, Chester managed a staff
of 38 and lead policy decision making in all areas of business.
Chester also worked at Catholic Health Initiatives in Boise, Idaho/Tacoma, Wash. as a network supervisor.
His distribution area consisted of 12 sites located in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. He supervised 10
employees and oversaw all IT areas of business.
Prior to working at Catholic Health Initiatives from, Chester worked for The Network Group/Hewlett Packard
LaserJet Division in Boise, Idaho as Senior Microsoft Support Engineer. While at this company, Chester
supported LaserJet Pinter product lines for North America.
Chester is a certified systems engineer, database administrator and novell administrator. He received his
master of business from the University of Washington and received his bachelor of science in graphic arts
from the University of Houston.
