Kenneth Henjum, R.Ph
Regional Manager
Ken Henjum RPh joined Genoa Healthcare in September of 2009 as the pharmacist in charge of our New Brighton, MN location. He was promoted to Regional Manager in March 2010.
Prior to joining Genoa, Ken was the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations for Arcadia Healthcare, a national healthcare company. Ken started in pharmacy as a dispensing pharmacist with Snyder’s Drug Chain, moving from store manager/pharmacist, to pharmacy district manager, to director of pharmacy operations, and finally to senior director of retail/pharmacy operations for 160 store chain of Snyder’s/Drug Emporium.
During Ken’s tenure at Snyder’s/Drug Emporium, Ken managed annual sales of $490 million dollars and an annual labor budget of $45 million dollars. While at Snyder’s, Ken worked with the college of Pharmacy’s in several states, Union negotiations, worked with the Executive Committee’s at NACDS, coordinated over 20 Independent Franchise file buys, organization of error reduction procedures with Pharmacist’s Mutual and numerous other projects implemented as Snyder’s’ company polity.
Upon leaving Snyder’s, Ken joined the team of PrairieStone Pharmacy advancing to Senior consultant Lund’s Byerlys/PrairieStone Pharmacy and eventually to Vice President of Pharmacy Operations. As the purchase of the DailyMed concept was acquired by Arcadia Healthcare, Ken managed Arcadia’s Mail Order facility, the Florida Long Term Care Facility, the Michigan D&W Pharmacy chain, partnership with TRIA Orthopedic, Best Buy Pharmacy Initiative, with Medco Specialties, implementing a central fill pharmacy within PrairieStone/DailyMed and as the Vice President of Operations and Senior Consultant to the Lund’s/Byerlys Grocery Chain, coordinating the acquisition of 16 PrairieStone Pharmacy’s by Lund’s LLC.
Ken earned his bachelor of science in pharmacy from South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. Ken has been active in the college of pharmacy at SDSU, NACDS, and his community.
