Genoa Healthcare Clinical LaboratoryAs a value added service to our partners and
clients, Genoa’s clinical laboratory is able to perform all lab tests, including common tests such as: complete blood count with differential, electrolyte panel, metabolic panel, liver panel, renal panel, urinalysis, therapeutic drug levels, and drugs of abuse screening. This new service provides the convenience of having your clients’ labs processed with the same healthcare provider that fills your clients’ prescriptions.
Sample CollectionGenoa Healthcare Clinical Laboratory is centrally
located in St. Paul, MN and offers many options for
collection. Samples may be collected by Genoa phlebotomists. Genoa will also accept samples already collected by your agency’s phlebotomists. Genoa will process the samples and deliver results via mail, fax, or email from our secure and reliable data center.
Value Added Services
PhlebotomyAs a value added service to our community based mental healthcare providers and clients, Genoa Healthcare pharmacy and clinical laboratory offers access to our experienced phlebotomists. Our phlebotomists can go to the client’s staffed residence or specified agency, to perform blood draws for all laboratory tests. We understand and realize the blood draw process can sometimes be a challenge. Our phlebotomy schedule is flexible and we will work with you to accommodate current schedules.
Clozapine (Clozaril) MonitoringGenoa phlebotomists often perform blood draws for clients taking the medication clozapine (Clozaril). The sample is sent to the lab and results are then sent to the provider and Genoa pharmacy. Genoa will also enter all lab results into the clozapine (Clozaril) registry. We review those results and dispense accordingly. If there are abnormal levels, we are quick to notify all parties involved and take all the necessary actions required. Genoa believes the overall coordination of care and communication is the key to this success.
Atypical Antipsychotic Metabolic Monitoring Program
Many atypical antipsychotic medications have a negative impact on the clients’ lipids, triglycerides, and blood sugars. As a partner in healthcare, Genoa will work with your agency to develop a monitoring program to ensure your clients are properly monitored for these effects.
Value added services enhance the lives of the clients Genoa serves. You will notice a difference when your clients use Genoa Healthcare. To get started with these innovative programs and discover the benefits, partner with Genoa pharmacy and clinical laboratory today!
